Grotte di Catullo

At the end of the peninsula of Sirmione, approx. 20 km from Bardolino and located in a wonderful, panoramic position, you can see what is left of a beautiful, Roman villa, known for centuries as "Grotte di Catullo". According to different legends, this has been the residence of the Latin poet. However, there are official and certain sources.

Spread over an area of nearly two acres, today, unfortunately, only the two lower levels are still visible.
